John is kissing singer-actress Alaina Reed -an original cast member of the off Broadway production of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band On the Road which opened Nov. 14, 1974. John and May Pang attended the opening and the party afterwards at the Hippopotamus Club (where kissing photo was taken). Alaina Reed later appeared in Hair and is best known for her role as Olivia on Sesame Street beginning in 1976.
