“Give Peace A Chance” Reception
July 3, 1969 - Ringo and Maureen cut short their French Riviera holiday to stand in for John & Yoko at the press reception for the release of "Give Peace A Chance" at the Chelsea Town Hall in London. The Lennon’s were recovering from a car accident they had in Golspie, Scotland on July 1st. "Give Peace A Chance", a solo effort by John with the Plastic Ono Band, was released July 4th on Apple Records. (info)
