Pattie's Childhood : Kenya and Divorce

Pattie's childhood was rather complex and definitely influenced how she acted with men later. Her parents never really loved each other, they married after meeting three or four times, when Pattie's mother, Diana Drysdale, was only 18 while her dad, Colin Ian Langdon Boyd was 24. Very near to the wedding date, her dad had an accident. This accident left him really moody, but Diana had already promised and didn't want to hurt him or look back. They divorced when Pattie was quite young. Pattie's mother then had a relationship with another man, who was presented to Pattie as her new father (she met her real father only several times after her parents' divorce). He cheated openly on Diana with the neighbour, leaving Pattie and Jenny quite puzzled. Their mother certainly knew about the affair but didn't do a thing. Pattie later repeated the same pattern with both George and Eric.
